I'm new to this forum so I'm not too clear if this is the appropriate place to discuss Internet Security solutions such as the Cellular Authentication Token (CAT).
While there is no full proof solution to identifying a person there are a number of solutions and methodologies available today that can be evaluated by their - cost, ease of deployment and level of protection they provide.
We know that with the increased usage of the Internet and its integration with so many aspects of our life the security issue is moving to the first concern of every service provider.
The Internet may become a threat if it is not secured and currently the weakest link - is authentication.
Tools like the CAT are a new approach and provide a solution that should be adopted as a minimal standard. Using a proven technology - TFA OTP with a combination of affordability & ease of deployment it is a first step in the right direction for an Internet secured authentication.
Maybe this subject should be discussed at the IGF and with the collaboration of the developing companies this could be set as a default standard.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-time_password
