IGF 2025 Village Booth #19 IGF Iraq-Kurdistan

Description

At the IGF Kurdistan Village, we aim to highlight the intersection of digital governance and human rights, emphasizing the need for safe, inclusive, and accessible digital spaces. Our booth will showcase initiatives focused on freedom of expression, online safety, digital literacy, and equitable access to technology, particularly in Iraq and Kurdistan. Through reports, case studies, and interactive materials, we will address challenges such as online censorship, digital gender-based violence, cyberbullying, and misinformation, while advocating for policies that uphold human rights in the digital sphere. We will also engage government officials, civil society, and international organizations to discuss policy reforms, digital rights protections, and strategies for fostering inclusive digital governance. Following our successful engagement with high-level delegates at UN IGF 2024 in Riyadh which included the minister and consulate staff with civil society, we plan to expand our collaborations and amplify voices advocating for digital rights at IGF 2025 in Norway. By showcasing our work, we aim to influence global discussions, build sustainable partnerships, and reinforce the role of digital governance in protecting fundamental human rights. furthermore, I would like to take this moment and share our LOGO concept note with you through the link below "Logo Concept The icon symbolizes a brighter future powered by the internet and community education. The design also reflects the sun, a key element of Kurdistan’s identity, connecting hope and progress to the region" file:///C:/Users/m.sidra/Downloads/UN%20IGF%20NRI/IGF%20Document/logo/IGF%20Kurdistan%20-%20Logo%20Concepts.pdf
