Norid is the not-for-profit registry for the Norwegian country code top-level domain, .no. We wish to share educational materials about the domain name system (DNS) and how technologies like DNSSEC and Anycast contribute to the security, stability and resilience of the DNS. Every ccTLD exist within an ecosystem consisting of local regulation, the registration policy of the ccTLD, and the global technical standards and policies necessary for an interoperable internet. We wish to showcase the approach by law enforcement, consumer protection authorities and the registry to dealing with illegal or unwanted content accessible via a Norwegian domain name, while still safeguarding proportionality, due process and the resilience of the DNS.
