[Bp_ipv6] Scheduling an initial call; gentle reminder for feedback on Scope and Goals

Hi all,

Thank you very much for inviting me to the discussion. I look forward to the Webex call tomorrow.
As a scope, I suggested to Izumi we might look at the important role of local IPv6 Task forces, how they helped with spreading knowledge, building communities and pushing IPv6 deployments.
I think governments and (commercial) organisations could benefit greatly from a local IPv6 Task force, as we have seen in a number of countries already. These local task forces also exchange knowledge and promote local deployments on a more regional level, at different conferences for example.

I agree that technical best practices should be outside the scope of this document.

Many thanks,

Nathalie Künneke-Trenaman

> Widespread adoption of IPv6 will be important to maintaining the global reach and integrity of the Internet. Following this wide-spread adoption, the eventual transition to IPv6 will only be successful when we, as a community, are all moving together at the same time. Adoption of IPv6 by a single entity is often a challenge; it is not useful if one organization alone adopts IPv6 when majority of the Internet is based on IPv4. The long-term sustainability of the network and success of the Internet to accommodate IPv6 depends on getting more organisations to adopt IPv6.

> In terms of Scope, there are a number of ways in which we can further refine the document - for example by focusing on one or more group needing best practices according to their situation. Below are three suggestions to kick start discussion:
> Creating a reference for governments looking to create an enabling environment for IPv6 adoption by industry players in their economy;
> Creating a reference for someone looking for community/collaborative efforts to promote IPv6 adoption in collaboration with key stakeholders in their community;
> Creating a reference for someone considering IPv6 adoption in their network but do not know the resources to look for.
