Thanks so much for the support. Hugely appreciate it. I'll also extend this to the BPF participants who have been affected by this. 

I think a blog and/or statement on the IGF site would be very helpful, as well as an opportunity to explain the ways we work, and to encourage other less damaging ways of participation. We can then also share this in other IR, IG lists, which can maybe also generate a discussion around this.

To update, APC has also just issued a second statement to  respond to and clarify some of the misinformation (https://www.apc.org/en/pubs/facts-takebackthetech). There has been a few in the IG and IR community who have engaged with some who seemed keen to conversation that certainly made a difference to the tone and energy of the space, at least for a bit! So every act of support really helps.
