Obviously, there would not be a coordination in terms of substance, this would be more an alignment of procedures and deadlines, such as by when a first draft should be posted and opened for comments, by when a second draft should be posted, when should the document that is submitted to the IGF be frozen and similar procedural issues. A streamlined approach with common deadlines would make it easier for the broader IGF community to participate actively in the various activities and provide comments. As all these activities are getting started now, it would be useful for them to have a joint call to discuss these issues. This could be done as soon as the consultants who will support the BPFs and CENB have been recruited. The MAG may wish to discuss this at today?s or at the next call and provide guidance, time permitting. I am taking this opportunity to share the updated version of the IGF programme framework to be shared with this summary. This now includes, as suggested on our first call, the process for open forums and features CENB by name (previously it was noted as "main intersessional project"). It also includes a timeline for the proposed work (page 2) including active outreach to the different communities involved in the various work streams. As noted earlier, the purpose of this proposal is to consider systematically at which junctures the IGF process works well, where there is need for further guidance and decision-making by the MAG. By considering this chain of action and accountability of all IGF activities, this work should result in a common action plan with defined processes and responsibilities and frameworks for decision-making -- improvements suggested by the CSTD WG on IGF. This is a very helpful document. We will review it on our next call (and apologies for running out of time on our last call). I also think it would be helpful to link it to the IGF Programme Component document as that document lists all the guiding documents/terms of reference, etc. for the various pieces of the IGF Annual programme as well as the Intersessional activities and the NRIs. Or maybe we embed the links to those documents in your diagram. What do you think? You are not required to register, just click the link below. The draft agenda is as follows, all comments welcome. DRAFT AGENDA: 1 - Intro/Logistics/Admin 2 - Continue with review on the following proposals - purpose is to agree next steps: Proposal for an ?IGF Programme Framework? Option Paper on Methodologies for the Development of Written IGF Outputs (updates only as largely covered on last call) Strengthening Cooperation within the Context of the IGF: A Roadmap for 2018 (updates only as largely covered on last call) 3 - Next steps on engaging MAG, IGF community, Intersessional activities, and NRIs in the development of a multi-year strategic work programme As a proposed next step, we could discuss how to engage the full MAG and the community in identifying topics to go forward in a multi-year program. From the last meeting summary: ??it was suggested that an agenda setting process drawing on existing processes and IGF intersessional work, could lead to activities during IGF 2018, which could draw on key messages from across the IGF ecosystem and then be used to identify topics to go forward in a multi-year program." We have or will have the following to begin guiding the discussion: 'IGF Call for Issues? - community process 'IGF 2018 WS Call for Proposals? - community process IGF Intersessional activities - community process NRI activities - community process ?IGF 2018 Annual Meeting Agenda (will have in July) - MAG/community process UN ?Frontier" issues (as the IGF is chartered by the UN, understanding the issues concerning UN member states is a key input) This could (I believe should) be further informed by a community wide poll, perhaps building on our draft poll from last year. Some options are: an open-ended poll, or one derived based on inputs above, or ??? 4 - Next steps/future agenda items 5 - AOB > Begin forwarded message: > > From: WGs IGF > Subject: WebEx meeting invitation: IGF MAG WG-MWP > Date: June 25, 2018 at 1:10:34 PM EDT > To: lynn at internet-matters.org > Reply-To: wg at intgovforum.org > > Hello, > WGs IGF invites you to join this WebEx meeting. > > IGF MAG WG-MWP > Tuesday, June 26, 2018 > 1:00 pm | Greenwich Time (Reykjavik, GMT) | 1 hr > Meeting number (access code): 849 523 719 > > > > Add to Calendar > When it's time, join the meeting . > > Join by phone > +44-203-478-5289 Call-in toll number (UK) > > Can't join the meeting? > > IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that this WebEx service allows audio and other information sent during the session to be recorded, which may be discoverable in a legal matter.
