[Wgco] WGCO Digest, Vol 1, Issue 12

I am very sorry to hear that you did not get a Visa, Wisdom.
thi is one of the concerns I had about going to NY. There have already been a few little problems, like the DESA folks not showing up on time to hand out badges, but now all seems to be working.
I hope that those participating remotely are now okay.
I am a little worried about the sessions during lunch, however, as i doubt that we can have remote participation.

Please count me in for the meeting

My suggestion would be day 3 when we would have better info to strategize outreach.

Segun, the NRI Coordinators are considering a session on Day 2. Might you consider this for after the session ends on Day 2?
I would very much like to attend and also several of those engaged are also engaged in their NRI.Also caMn I ask that you make sure that there is remote participation for such a session?
NY NY is not always able to move flexibly without heads up.
Or perhaps Day 3? I have a special session with IGF-USA2016, where I serve as the Chief Catalyst, with the MAG Chair and Mexican host but that is only 15 minutes. So, I can join you in progress.

Dear Everyone,
In view of the present circumstance and our inability to have a consensus on the proposed today's meeting, I suggest we move the meeting to the 2nd day of MAG meeting during the lunch break in NY.
I informed the Secretariat of our proposed meeting to set up webex immediately after I had sent notification to WG members, I've not received any response, probably because another meeting is already scheduled about the same time.
I think the best option is to move the meeting to another time as suggested above for adequate preparation/awareness.
Best Regards.

>>> MAG representation is based on stakeholder group and regional representation. While this works very well, it is not perfect and does not include a few cross-cutting issue groups, such as persons with disabilities, youth priority groups, and online participants.
>>>
>>> It is not realistic to include issue representatives as exceptions, because there are simply too many important issues. I do however request that accommodation be made to ensure that special groups have a designated channel of communication so that these concerns are heard appropriately. Right now, the MAG Working Group on Communication and Outreach is giving these issues high priority, but the IGF organization should institutionalise the processes to include these groups as part of integral IGF strategies.

>>> ? Remote participation principles<http://www.giplatform.org/resources/e-participation-principles> should be adopted or adapted for in IGF processes.
>>> ? A clear process for accepting contributions on specific issue areas should be established.
>>> ? A permanent webpage with IGF resources and information for persons for disabilities should be part of the IGF website, to make all information available in one place.
>>> ? A permanent webpage with online IGF participation resources, statistics, and information should be part of the IGF website, to make all information available in one place.
