[Bp_ipv6] BPF IPv6 - update

Wim,

I was just emailing with Aaron I would be willing to try and get the Comcast business case and motivations in for consideration. For anyone who was at RIPE in Denmark we shared some high level data, which we believe is useful and compelling. From what I can tell I missed the deadline, if you are willing to make and exception I would be willing to work with you, Aaron, or whomever, to get Comcast’s information for discussion at the next IGF.

Please advise.

Hi Aaron,

That's a much smaller number then I expected... Is there any interest in keeping it open a little longer for one last push? I can send it to a couple of v6 private lists and solicit if it would help..

Let me know.

We will continue to collect cases and keep the survey open as long as possible. (Maybe even until the IGF)
However, to be able to start writing content and come up with general observations we need as quick as possible a sound basis of case studies from the countries with a high deployment rate.
So please, go ahead and push !

BTW: 2 cents on the pre-scheduling of calls (at least from my perspective) is that participation is far harder than it was with Doodling. Most of the pre-scheduled calls I am unavailable for. Not sure how attendance has been or if it's just me, nevertheless, /2 cents.

Thank you for letting us know. We can discuss and adapt if needed.
If others have similar conflict, please let us know.

Best
Wim

Cheers,
Aaron

Dear All,

So far, we received 8 case studies:

Forthnet, provider, Greece
Tele2, Mobile operator, Sweden
FPT Telecom, provider, Vietnam
Swisscom, Switzerland
UOL Diveo, Brazil
Globo, Brazil
Telekom Malaysia, Malaysia

Izumi went through the survey responses and listed the main ‘motivations’ and ‘business factors’ on the google document. (see section 4)
Please continue to reach out and collect cases and update the table on out brainstorm document <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1C7z8MRVBOmBsuWxpl8YivXZWFvksKCq0_ul7TlFJzIU/edit?usp=sharing>. (it’s 2 Sept - the Europeans have no Summer holiday excuses any more ;-) )

We have been working on the draft document and added text for the Introduction and background and Scope and Goals section. This content is based on last year's outcome document and the Scope & Goals document.
Therefore, I suggest that - at least for now - we don’t spend much time and energy on reviewing these sections. We have a sound basis, and we can refer to last year’s document for those who need more detailed information. The main work is still laying ahead of us.

REMINDER: next call on Wednesday 7 September at 2pm UTC .
I will circulate the webex details shortly.

Thank you all for your cooperation,

Best regards
Wim
