[Wgco] WGCO UPDATE & NEXT STEP...

Hello everyone,

My apologies for not communicating early before the last MAG meeting.

It's time to continue the work of the WGCO and take it forward from
where we stopped. The following activities have taken place since the last
MAG meeting.

1.       The Host Country community recently released IGF 2017 flyer for
the distribution among our networks. In my opinion, we need to work closely
with the host country media Jorge to publicize IGF 2017 event across the
world.

2.       Renata did mention a digital initiative from her community during
the MAG meeting and a need for collaboration with WGCO. Reneta, please
throw more light on your initiative and where we can work together for the
purposes of IGF 2017 values.

3.       We need to schedule a meeting of WGCO to deliberate on some issues
bordering on re-prioritizing our commincation plan effectively. MAG chair
raised this point in the last meeting. Due to everyone busy nature, I'm
proposing skype chat. I'll initiate discussions using our usual Skype chat
on continual basis. I'll also find out if the Secretariat can help with
webex. But I feel we need not to wait for webex meeting.

Meanwhile, I have prepared a draft Communication for global awareness and a
guide to IGF registration, understanding IGF values and IGF 2017 useful
information. It is attached with shared link provided for comment here

The goal of the document is to provide instant guide, updates and
information most relevant to the values of IGF and mobilization of
community for the IGF 2017.

I need members to review it and make useful comment before releasing it to
the public.
