Ms Anju Mangal is the Regional Head of Asia Pacific, Alliance for Affordable Internet, World Wide Web Foundation. Ms Mangal was the first Pacific Islander appointed as a MAG member years ago. She is currently the Chair of Asia Pacific Internet Governance Forum and a former board member of the Pacific Islands Chapter of the Internet Society. She is the co-chair of the Pacific Internet Governance Forum. Ms Mangal also worked for the UN IGF secretariat and is an alumni of Diplo Foundation. She continues to advocate for marginalised communities particularly focusing on digital connectivity, digital transformation, digital inclusion, internet governance and the digital divide.
Anju Mangal is also a Obama Leadership Fellow and she has been engaged in Digital Economy, Cybersecurity and Cyber Safety initiatives in Asia and the Pacific. She was recently appointed as the UNESCAP- Advisory Council member supporting the Asia Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development.
