Description:
At this moment, we are facing a situation where it is essential to provide a balance between public value, government investment, and public policies. And in this situation we must connect all the emerging technologies for Economic and Human Development: Enabling the Efficient Participation of All Stakeholders in a Hyper connected Global Environment This balance should ensure adequate infrastructure, access to quality knowledge, and the generation of opportunities from governments in partnership with social, academic, and other sectors. All of this must be achieved with the support of multilateral entities. In this context, with my current role as a professor and researcher at the university and international organizations (externally), as well as my experience as the former Minister of Science, Innovation, Technology, and Telecommunications of Costa Rica, I would like to contribute to the development of this model. My approach considers the human being at the center, recognizing how political cycles can impact the implementation of long-term public policies and, consequently, the high-impact outcomes that countries seek to achieve.
