Policy Question(s)
A. How can the multistakeholder model of digital cooperation support the way forward for the Global Digital Compact - and viceversa?
B. Which are the priority areas/actions where stakeholders' contribution can help Governments and the UN deliver?
What will participants gain from attending this session? Participants will have a better understanding of the ongoing initiatives of Governments and the UN to deliver on the Global Digital Compact.
They will have an opportunity to co-design the way forward on specific actions of interest.
Finally, they will learn about ongoing efforts to make all GDC-relevant information and ongoing efforts easily accessible for stakeholders. Participants will have a chance to discuss how delivery can be improved.
SDGs
Description:
The inclusive participation of all stakeholders is a cornerstone of the Global Digital Compact. Thousands of participants contributed to its development, and hundreds have endorsed its vision and principles. More than half a year after its adoption, how can stakeholders get involved and help to deliver on its actions? The workshop will elicit ideas and recommendations from online and in-person stakeholders on how stakeholders can contribute and which areas they think should be prioritized. The workshop will also be an opportunity to showcase and brainstorm ideas on how actions to implement the Global Digital Compact, from both Governments and stakeholders, can be made publicly available in a timely, transparent, and interactive way.

Expected Outcomes
Outcomes
- Elaborate a one-page document on traceability and transparency of GDC actions/commitments
- Define how stakeholders can be involved in specific follow-up actions to the GDC;
Hybrid Format: We will use the same format for GDC Townhalls used, e.g. at IGF2024, Paris AI Summit etc., that is
1. We prioritize interventions from online participants to make sure they are engaged
2. We will have an online moderator that can reply to queries in the chat
3. We may use Menti or other polling tool, as available
