What particular difficulties do digital rights organizations and how are the changing dynamics of digital rights in the Global Majority being ignored?
How can the potential and problems in the global digital rights landscape be addressed through a multi-stakeholder strategy that involves governments, the corporate sector, academia, and civil society?
What will participants gain from attending this session? Participants will learn about financial issues and how to identify other means to sustain, as well as how to build and tighten strategic alliances.

The rapid shifts in U.S. digital policies are shaking the foundations of the global digital rights landscape. While much of the focus remains on the U.S. and EU, it is crucial not to overlook the evolving dynamics in the Global Majority. This session will spotlight the challenges affecting digital rights organizations in the Global South, as well as the emerging opportunities through South-to-South collaborations. Bringing together leaders from civil society, academia, the private sector, and governments, this multi-stakeholder discussion will explore innovative partnerships and strategic pathways to strengthen digital rights frameworks that best serve our diverse regions.

Expected Outcomes
Examine and pinpoint possible areas of cooperation between Global South stakeholders in digital rights.
Enhance understanding and awareness to guide future legislative choices and cooperative initiatives to defend digital rights in the Global South.
Hybrid Format: 1. A team member who is present will assist in facilitating the online questions.
