Dear Lea and all,

Thanks. Completely agree. Main sessions require extensive preparatory work
and extreme consensus building- from
policy questions,
session formats,
choice of speakers and moderators,
number of panelists, identified interventions and
augmenting participation from the floor, with outcomes and reports.

I do hope that we can revisit Main sessions and close on at least key Mains.

I also hope through the doodle poll which worked last year we will be able
to recruit more volunteers from the MAG for each of the mains. And we will
open up facilitation volunteering for the online participants as well as
the MAG members who may have not had the pop. to speak and may require more
time to make up their mind for volunteering to lead.

One last request on the issue as an individual choice this year having
heavily invested myself for the last two years I would encourage more first
time MAG members lead / cofacilitate Main sessions. Sr. read more than one
term members may also wish to yield more space to allow first time members
to lead main sessions, with active co-facilitation. Many of us will be
rotating out not "departing" out of the MAG this year, we therefore need to
consciously allow young members and first time MAG members to lead the
planning and preparatory processes of main sessions as a legacy building
practice and also also a good leadership best practice.

In line with other BPFs I also urge that informally we also start
inculcating some good/best practices for the MAG.

While we will continue to strive for brilliance and excellence I also hope
we will continue mentoring and preparing the next generation of IG leaders.

I congratulate all new MAG members for volunteering and hope to assist all
of them to the best of my ability.

Warm regards

Subi
