Dear Avri,
I am sorry to hear that. As I indicated during the last MAG call, we will be glad to assist anyone who might face unforeseen difficulties, taking into account our laws and regulations. Issuing a visa upon arrival is not possible (as in most countries), but we could certainly have tried to help...
Best regards,
Benedicto

Assunto: [IGFmaglist] A recommendations for future host country agreements
Hi,
After having to spend close to $1000 to be able to get a visa for
Brazil* and do the other necessary travel, I recommend that all future
IGF locations be required to provide visa on arrival for registered
attendees as part of the host agreement. I am so grateful to the host
countries in the past that showed this kind of consideration for IGF
travellers.
Hope I get my passport and visa back in time.
Thanks
avri
* given that visa requires 7-11 days minimum and cannot be gotten until
airfare is obtained I had to obtain a second passport in order to send
my pass port in for BRazil's consideration.. so much for 'free visa'
