IGF 2021 Call for Town Hall Proposals

Town Halls are interactive sessions organized by entities dealing with Internet governance-related issues of international scope. Through town hall sessions, stakeholders exchange views on topical and controversial Internet governance issues. This session type is particularly suitable for current and emerging issues.

Organizations dealing with Internet governance issues of international scope, organizations which demonstrate its existing operational work status in the global Internet governance ecosystem and can outline Internet governance-related objective(s) to be achieved through the session, are invited to submit requests for a Town Hall slot through the application e-form.

Town Halls should focus on Internet governance-pertinent activities  and allow sufficient time for questions and discussions. In addition, it is suggested that the Town Halls link to the IGF 2021 focus areas, selectable in the submission form:

IGF 2021 Main focus areas

IGF 2021 Emerging and cross-cutting issue areas

The inclusion of a background paper with the Town Hall request is strongly encouraged. The standard duration for the session to choose from are 30 and 60 minutes.
Session support: Webcast: Yes | Transcription: Yes | Interpretation: No

The deadline for requesting Town Hall slots at the 16th IGF is 26 May 2021, 23:59 UTC.
