    Description

The digital sector, which creates high added value for the economy, is facing increasing regulatory pressure. Legal standards regarding privacy, the flow of personal and non-personal data, copyright and audiovisual issues are created and updated. All this to make the digital single market in the EU complete. Among the regulations adopted in recent years in the European Union, there are both those that have gained the approval of business, but also those that are considered to be unsuited to the dynamically changing technological landscape, or harm innovation and the completion of the digital single market in the EU. One of the many examples of new standards is the taxation of the digital economy. With the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy, tackling fair taxation of the digital economy has become more important. OECD has reached an agreement and the European Union has announced its own solution but posponed it. But, does that mean the legislation chaos has ended? Is the OECD agreement enough?

Together with experts from the world of business, representatives of public administration, we want to jointly consider the desired directions of regulation so that they favor innovation and do not cause a drop in competitiveness.
