online quiz with a comment by the moderator
A brilliant workshop in the form of a quiz (stationary and online) that will be a logical experiment referring to IGF2021 issue area: "Trust, security and stability - Cybersecurity practices and mechanisms". The presenter will provide everyone with a QR code leading to a secure website created by the National Cyber Security Centre, where everyone will be able to answer a series of questions.
The presenter will initially conduct a kind of intellectual warm-up for the audience, based on a few tricky questions with non-obvious, surprising answers from various areas of life in order to explain the formula of the workshop in a practical form. Then he will go to the main parts of the quiz.
The first part of the quiz will be devoted to predictions about development directions of the Internet, cybersecurity, social media and technologies, which were formulated 10 years ago, and which were then truly difficult to predict.
The second part of the quiz will cover the audience's visions of key issues with the subject of the first part, i.e. the functioning of the Internet, cybersecurity, social media and the development of technology in 10 years’ time, i.e. in 2031. Each time, after a series of questions, the presenter will formulate a thesis and interpret the results.
The entire workshop will lead to conclusions about the exponential development of the Internet as a whole and each specific field, as well as about the unpredictability of the directions of changes even within the short time horizon.
On the special website created by NCSC there will be a field that will allow all participants to enter their e-mail addresses, to which a list of responses given during the quiz will be sent, as well as invitations to the event planned in 10 years from the date of the quiz, so that they can compare the reality and their own expectations from 2021.
