    Description

The European Citizen Initiative Freedom to Share is set out to collect one million signatures throughout the European Union with the proposal that, if implemented, would allow sharing of files containing works protected by copyright and related rights, and introducing mechanisms to remunerate the creators of such works fairly. The consequences of such implementation would be numerous, including making the "upload filters" obsolete and probably even illegal, as nothing would be left to filter.

The Q&A will follow the brief presentation - all participants, online and offline can ask questions. If there is a large number of questions, an AMA-style (online only) event will be added.

Key Takeaways (* deadline at the end of the session day)

There is ongoing discussion on how to compensate the creative authors and rightsholders for correcting the imbalance between the copyright holders and users.

Call to Action (* deadline at the end of the session day)
