The ability of Internet users to engage online in their own language is a key element of meaningful universal connectivity. Building upon previous work at the IGF, including the Best Practice Forum on Local Content, as well as the ongoing work of the Policy Network on Meaningful Access (PNMA), this Main Session will explore the role of local content development and Universal Acceptance of domain names as key drivers for a multilingual Internet. It will be held in a hybrid format and translated into the six official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, French, Spanish, English), as well as Polish.
