    Panel discussion with experts.

    Description

The panel discussion will be focusing on digital transformation in the energy industry as far as environmental protection is concerned, including carbon footprint reduction. We will be discussing the use of new technical solutions, including artificial intelligence, to reduce energy consumption, to manage energy more rationally, and to ensure energy security.

We will present concepts and ideas of both scientific and business community to apply new technologies to protect the natural environment and minimize CO2 emissions.

We will also discuss global challenges and restrictions associated with the possibility of using new technologies, including AI, in the energy industry.

During the panel discussion we will present some actions and plans of Polish companies to apply new technologies to avoid energy crisis, while taking good care of the natural environment.

We will be considering the following dilemma: ‘Should societies abandon fossil fuels and accept reduced energy availability, or should they continue to use fossil fuels and carry on with the current way energy resources are managed?’

Among the specific topics that will be discussed during the panel are: a. Whether the dilemma mentioned earlier can be resolved by using new technologies, the Internet and AI in particular? b. Digital transformation in the energy industry and environmental protection. c. The importance of the Internet and AI in optimizing energy resources consumption and management, energy security, and energy-efficient data processing and transmission. d. Global (including Polish) solutions and plans associated with the use of new technologies (AI/IoT/the Internet) to reduce carbon footprint and to protect the natural environment. e. Are the technologies we have today sufficient to find the solution, or should new technical solutions be pursued? f. The issue of ensuring access to modern technologies, including AI, for developing countries. g. The European Green Deal, regulatory plans.

During the panel the audience will be able to express their opinions by using an on-line voting system.
