Targets: Our proposal will discuss the role that innovation plays in promoting greater Internet access and connectivity around the world. As we all know, the Internet is a vehicle for opportunity that can bring communities better education, healthcare and economic opportunities. Whether the Internet is used to enhance learning activities, share health information, empower women and girls, or create employment - it plays a central role in enriching our lives today and in helping society achieve many of the SDGs.
Presentation
This lightning talk will speak broadly on the role that innovation plays in expanding the possibilities for Internet access and connectivity worldwide. Sharing examples from the Internet Society Foundation's BOLT grant program, the session will share how an organization in Uganda is testing diverse approaches to promoting Internet connectivity among communities where current technologies are unavailable or not readily accessible..
