Targets: Our major target audience is women who are excluded because of the harassment that they face only. This session will equip them to create their own safe spaces by themselves.

    Description:

Digital Security Trainings (DSTs) are hands-on training, simplified explanations of law and technology, and demonstration of easy to use tools to manage and protect privacy and security in the digital world. We at SFLC.IN conduct these trainings for various stakeholders such as women, journalists, school students, NGOs and government officials. DSTs cover modules related to legal aspects of privacy, data breaches and leaks and protection from them, data profiling, threat modelling, safety measures to develop healthy habits in using digital devices/services, privacy/security tools, social media security, encryption, basic legal framework, women safety and security practice aimed at early detection of spyware and stalkware. These DSTs are aimed at creating a more secure and rights respecting digital space. In the session we shall provide insights into our DSTs modules, methodology of conducting DSTs and how do they contribute to creating a more secure digital space. We will also share how DSTs benefit each stakeholder and seek inputs for increasing developing our DSTs further. These trainings are especially useful for activists, journalists and marginalized groupls which need to secure information.

    Expected Outcomes

We would like to expand the training worldwide, training trainers who would in place in turn train the common public to foster a culture of security and privacy. We would also like feedback to make this more inclusive.

Hybrid Format: We will be running a presentation for both online and on-site participants. This is an interactive training which will be built upon participants experiences. We will be using a whiteboard for this
