    Targets: our proposal links to SDG 9 connecting people everywhere through meaningful and affordable internet access .

    Description:

    Over the years, Girls in ICT Day has been celebrated in more than 170 countries with over 11,000
    events worldwide by engaging key stakeholders and partners to inspire girls in Science, Technology,
    Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers through trainings, information sharing, capacity
    building activities and role models. While we are connecting girls to digital platform, we must also safeguard them from Online GBV Issues as the digital ecosystem is growing with more active users on a daily basis who are young from least developed and developing countries
    our session is a debate among young digital rights experts from Civil society, Government and private sector they will try to explore ways and methods how to safe guard young girls from online GBV as we connect them .

    Expected Outcomes

    This discussion will address the barriers and challenges that hinder online safety of young girls , will provide recommendations and policies on models that can work to ensure digital rights are safeguarded online .

    Hybrid Format: The Facilitator starts the meeting and provides an inclusive participation both online and in person the idea is to make the discussion adaptable .
