Organizations interested in arranging Pre-events or 'Day 0' Events are invited to submit requests for a session slot through the application e-form.
Pre-events will be held on the day before the official 18th IGF programme begins, or Day 0. Slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, taking into account space availability, the relevance of the requests received, and the regional and stakeholder balance of the overall Day 0 programme. The format and content of pre-events are up to the organizers, but the pre-event must have a link to Internet governance and, to the extent possible, should be linked to the IGF 2023 subthemes.
IGF 2023 Subthemes
- AI & Emerging Technologies
- Avoiding Internet Fragmentation
- Cybersecurity, Cybercrime & Online Safety
- Data Governance & Trust
- Digital Divides & Inclusion
- Global Digital Governance & Cooperation
- Human Rights & Freedoms
- Sustainability & Environment
The organizers understand that on this ‘unofficial’ day they may not have the same support - in terms of live transcription - as sessions in the regular programme.
Session support: Webcast: Yes | Transcription: No | Interpretation: No
The deadline for requesting Pre-event slots at the 18th IGF is 24 May 2023, 23:59 UTC.
