    Hack4Purpose is a one-day hackathon that challenges participants to apply gamification to Internet governance issues and develop innovative solutions. The event will bring together policymakers, developers, and advocates to design game-based interventions that enhance participation in digital governance. How Hack4Purpose Aligns with IGF 2025 Subthemes - Building Digital Cooperation: Hack4Purpose directly supports multistakeholder collaboration by bringing together policymakers, civil society, and technology experts to develop game-driven solutions for digital governance challenges. Participants will explore interactive and scalable engagement mechanisms that strengthen digital cooperation. - Building Digital Trust and Resilience: Gamification techniques developed during the hackathon can increase trust in digital governance by promoting transparency, accountability, and engagement in policy discussions. - Building Sustainable and Responsible Innovation: The hackathon fosters responsible innovation by exploring interactive digital tools that drive civic participation while ensuring inclusivity and ethical governance. - Building Universal Access and Digital Rights: By using gamification to improve participation in digital policy discussions, the hackathon contributes to making Internet governance more accessible, inclusive, and engaging for diverse global communities. Key Objectives - Brainstorm and prototype gamification strategies for digital cooperation, trust, and participation. - Develop real-world solutions that IGF and governance organizations can adopt. - Encourage multistakeholder collaboration between technologists, policymakers, and civil society. Sample Challenge Ideas: - Creating an AI-driven chatbot to gamify governance awareness. - Designing a digital badge system to recognize policy participation.
