Session Title: Women in IGF Awards – Celebrating Women Shaping Internet Policy and Regulation Globally
Session Type: Award Ceremony and Panel Discussion
Duration: 60 minutes
The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) serves as a global platform for discussions on internet policy and regulation. Women have played a crucial role in shaping policies that foster digital inclusion, privacy, security, and accessibility worldwide. However, their contributions often go unrecognized. - Highlight the importance of gender-inclusive internet governance.
- Provide a platform for dialogue on the challenges and achievements of women in IG.
- Inspire and encourage more women to take leadership roles in internet governance.
- Strengthen networks among women policymakers, researchers, and advocates.
