    Session Title: Women in IGF Awards – Celebrating Women Shaping Internet Policy and Regulation Globally Session Type: Award Ceremony and Panel Discussion Duration: 60 minutes The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) serves as a global platform for discussions on internet policy and regulation. Women have played a crucial role in shaping policies that foster digital inclusion, privacy, security, and accessibility worldwide. However, their contributions often go unrecognized. The Women in IGF Awards aim to celebrate and honor the outstanding contributions of women in internet policy and governance while inspiring the next generation of female leaders in this space. This session will not only recognize the awardees but also provide a platform for a high-level discussion on gender representation, challenges, and opportunities in internet governance. Objectives: - Celebrate and honor the contributions of women shaping internet policy and regulation globally. - Highlight the importance of gender-inclusive internet governance. - Provide a platform for dialogue on the challenges and achievements of women in IG. - Inspire and encourage more women to take leadership roles in internet governance. - Strengthen networks among women policymakers, researchers, and advocates.

    Facilitating Interaction Between Onsite and Online Participants: - Use a hybrid event platform that enables seamless integration of virtual and in-person participation. - Assign a dedicated moderator to manage both in-person and online questions. - Utilize live chat and Q&A tools to allow online attendees to submit questions that are addressed during the session. - Encourage in-person speakers to acknowledge and engage with remote participants directly. - Provide equal speaking opportunities for both online and onsite panelists by using high-quality audio-visual setups. - Designing the Session for the Best Possible Experience: - Ensure high-quality live streaming with multiple camera angles to capture speakers and audience interactions. Optimize sound quality with professional microphones for both in-person and remote participants. - Include a structured agenda with interactive elements such as polls, breakout rooms, and real-time chat engagement. - Provide a dedicated online host to engage with virtual attendees and relay their input to onsite participants. - Offer captioning and translation services to make the session accessible to a global audience.
