    Description
Session Title: "Building Digital Trust and Resilience through Responsible Innovation: The Impact of Emerging Technologies on Internet Governance" Session Description: As the Internet becomes a central pillar of interconnected societies, digital governance must evolve to address the challenges created by the rapid adoption of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), and automation. This session aims to bring together experts, policymakers, researchers, and civil society representatives to explore how these technologies can be used responsibly and ethically to foster a resilient, secure, and trustworthy Internet. The main objective is to discuss global strategies for strengthening digital trust while safeguarding the security of critical infrastructures, addressing issues related to cybercrime and disinformation, and promoting sustainable and inclusive solutions for data management, information integrity, and digital rights. Discussions will focus on several key sub-themes, directly aligned with the priorities defined for IGF 2025: Digital Trust and Resilience of Infrastructures: In the face of increasing threats such as cyberattacks, how can we ensure the security of critical infrastructures and online services while strengthening user trust? Responsible and Ethical Innovation: How can we ensure that emerging technologies are developed and deployed in an ethical, transparent, and sustainable manner, considering social and environmental impacts? Universal Access and Digital Inclusion: In an increasingly fragmented digital world, how can we guarantee equitable access to the Internet for all populations, particularly marginalized groups such as people with disabilities, women, and underrepresented communities? Protection of Digital Rights: What role can global governance play in protecting the digital rights of all citizens while fostering rapid innovation? The session will take an interactive and collaborative approach, providing a platform for the exchange of best practices, expertise, and innovative solutions among public, private, and civil society actors. The goal is to create a constructive dialogue, also involving youth and local actors, to ensure that digital governance is truly inclusive and participatory. References and Resources:
