5. Gender Equality
16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
17. Partnerships for the Goals
Targets: Regarding gender equity, we analyzed the differences in AI-generated content depending on the candidate's gender. Regarding peace, justice, and strong institutions, we seek to ensure that democracy is based on information that is not manipulated by new technologies so that electoral results are free from these biases. Regarding partnerships for these objectives, the participating organizations come from diverse areas but work together to analyze the use of generative Artificial Intelligence in Ecuador's electoral context.

Description
Based on extensive monitoring of the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the electoral context in Ecuador, we will discuss the main findings regarding citizen use, its use to support campaigns, differentiation based on the gender of the candidate, and disinformation with the use of vectors.
This quantitative and qualitative exploration goes beyond selecting a few cases, but rather seeks to build replicable best practices and identify patterns of bad practices and experiences to address them.
