Targets: The Health Parliament Model aligns with SDG 17 by fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships to drive health policy reforms. It creates a platform where patients, healthcare providers, policymakers, and industry leaders collaborate to identify gaps, propose solutions, and implement evidence-based policies. By encouraging inclusive dialogue and joint decision-making, the model strengthens institutional capacity and promotes shared responsibility in improving healthcare outcomes. The session will demonstrate how leveraging partnerships across sectors enhances healthcare access, equity, and quality, reflecting the core objective of SDG 17 to mobilize and strengthen global partnerships for sustainable development.

Description
The Health Parliament Model for Policy Reforms session will explore how a participatory, multi-stakeholder approach can drive effective health policy reforms. The session will highlight how the Health Parliament model brings together patients, healthcare providers, policymakers, and industry leaders to deliberate and propose actionable solutions for improving healthcare access, quality, and equity.
Panelists will share insights from successful Health Parliament initiatives, focusing on how this model fosters democratic engagement, accountability, and evidence-based policymaking. The session will link to IGF 2025 themes on digital governance and public interest by showcasing how digital platforms and inclusive dialogue can strengthen health systems and policy innovation.
Facilitating Interaction: A dedicated moderator will manage onsite discussions, while a co-moderator will handle online engagement, ensuring balanced participation. Online and onsite attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and share insights through real-time Q&A. Session Design: Speakers will alternate between addressing onsite and online participants to maintain equal engagement. Structured dialogue segments and interactive discussions will ensure balanced contribution from all participants. Complementary Tools: Platforms like Zoom will support real-time interaction, while Slido will enable live polling and Q&A.
