    Targets: This session directly contributes to SDG 4.4 by highlighting Czechia’s AI education framework, which integrates AI literacy and digital skills into school curricula, equipping youth with the competencies needed for the digital economy. It supports SDG 9.1 by examining Czechia’s role in AI, cybersecurity, and digital policy, ensuring secure and resilient digital infrastructure through regulatory frameworks like the AI Act, DSA, and NIS2 Directive. By addressing transparency and accountability in digital governance, the session aligns with SDG 16.6, showcasing Czechia’s role in EU-wide cybersecurity policies and AI regulation enforcement. Finally, it fosters international cooperation (SDG 17.16) by discussing Czechia’s engagement in multilateral digital governance and encourages participants to share about their own countries initiatives. This session will provide insights into how policy coordination and digital innovation contribute to a secure, transparent, and inclusive digital future.

The session will begin with a 10-12 minute presentation outlining Czechia’s key initiatives in digital policy and cybersecurity.This will be followed by a 5-8 minute Q&A session, allowing onsite and online participants to engage in a discussion on the broader implications of Czechia’s approach to digital regulation, security, and innovation.

    Description
    This session will provide an update on the current state of affairs in Czechia including the latest implementation challenges of the AI Act and DSA, Czechia’s national approach to AI governance, the country’s role in EU-level cybersecurity discussions. The talk will also highlight Czechias approach to digital education, particularly its newly emerging AI education framework for primary and secondary schools developed by civil society, which integrates AI literacy into various subjects and prepares students for the future digital economy. Additionally, the session will examine Czechia’s engagement in international cyber diplomacy. Participants will gain insights into how Czechia is balancing regulatory enforcement, innovation, and education.

    This lightning talk will be designed to maximize engagement for both onsite and online participants, ensuring an inclusive and interactive experience. The session will begin with a concise presentation, followed by a structured Q&A, where both online and in-person attendees can ask questions.To enhance interaction, interactive tools (e.g., Slido or Mentimeter) may be used for live polling, allowing participants to share opinions on key digital policy issues in their respective countries. The session will also feature a shared online document for collecting key takeaways and additional participant insights.
