    Description
This session will examine the multiple dimensions of digital inequalities, focusing on how barriers related to age, gender, disability, geographic location, language, and economic status perpetuate disparities in digital access and participation. As digital technologies continue to shape economies, societies, and governments worldwide, addressing these inequalities is crucial to ensuring equitable access and opportunities for all. The session will explore the following key topics: Access to Technology: How disparities in internet access, devices, and digital literacy impact underrepresented communities, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Gender and Disability: The specific challenges faced by women and persons with disabilities in accessing and using digital technologies, and what can be done to create more inclusive digital spaces. Language and Geographic Barriers: The role of language and geographical factors in preventing access to digital resources, services, and education, particularly for communities in the Global South. Economic Barriers: How financial constraints affect access to the internet, digital services, and technologies, and the role of affordable internet policies in reducing inequality. Through panel discussions, case studies, and interactive dialogue, the session will explore both the challenges and potential solutions, aiming to raise awareness about the scope of digital inequalities while discussing concrete actions that can be taken by governments, the private sector, and civil society to foster inclusivity.
