    8. Decent Work and Economic Growth

Targets: Access to Internet and knowledge (content) on the web empowers the digitally disadvantaged to do decent work, improve quality of their lives and contributes to the economic growth of the country by increasing its GDP. Access to information is key to bridging the digtial divide, creating employment opportunities, discouraging migration to urban population centres. Access to Internet and information is the fastest and most economical way to achieve SDG goals. Rights to access content free of cost, designated as Digital Public Goods (DPGs), should be loosened or removed altogether as an instrument of government policy or with novel business models if required.
