Targets: Our talk and networking session contribute to advancing innovation in diplomacy through AI-powered tools (SDG 9), enhancing transparency and efficiency in decision-making processes (SDG 16, SDG 16.6). By equipping diplomats with data-driven insights, we support accountable governance and improve strategic negotiations in complex international contexts. Moreover, fostering an open dialogue between government representatives promotes global collaboration on the use of AI in diplomacy (SDG 17). By facilitating knowledge-sharing and partnerships across borders (SDG 17.6, SDG 17.16, SDG 17.17), we strengthen international cooperation and ensure that emerging technologies are used to create more effective, inclusive, and resilient diplomatic frameworks.

Description
No area remains untouched by AI and other emerging technologies. As diplomacy becomes increasingly data-driven, these advancements present both opportunities and challenges for international relations.
In a brief introduction, we will showcase the transformative potential of AI-powered tools in supporting international negotiations, enabling diplomats to analyze vast amounts of information more efficiently and make informed, strategic decisions based on quantitative insights. By integrating these innovations, governments can enhance diplomatic workflows, improve decision-making speed and accuracy, and foster more effective international cooperation.
Following our introduction, the networking session will provide a platform for open dialogue among government representatives from different countries. This exchange will focus on how various nations are leveraging data and AI-driven tools in their diplomatic efforts, highlighting best practices, challenges, and ethical considerations. By bringing together policymakers, technologists, and diplomats, we aim to encourage cross-border collaboration and knowledge-sharing, ensuring that these technologies serve as enablers of more transparent, efficient, and resilient diplomacy.
We highly value virtual participation. Therefore, we aim to alternate between onsite and offsite speakers during the open dialogue to ensure balanced engagement. David will manage the conversation and facilitate any questions, ensuring that both in-person and remote participants have equal opportunities to contribute.
