    Format
    Roundtable
    Duration (minutes): 90
Format description: The expert speakers/commentators will present their views in a dynamic interactive roundtable discussion. We want to ensure there is interactive discussion with online and in-person participants, and amongst the expert speakers/commentators. The roundtable format will facilitate that objective. This will not be a series of speeches, so we expect all those who attend will engage in the conversation. 90 minutes will ensure that there is ample time for the participants, online and in-person, to ask questions, get responses, share their views and be informed by the interactive moderated discussion amongst the expert speakers. Brief introductory remarks will set the stage for this roundtable, and speakers and the moderator will kick off the dynamic interaction, provide opportunities to take questions, hear from the participants and share useful information. The 90 minute roundtable format will ensure there is ample time for substantive exchanges which is the objective of this workshop.
    Policy Question(s)
*What does the Internet Resilience Supply Chain entail and who are the relevant actors that have key roles in ensuring the secure stable functioning of the Internet infrastructures? *What are the questions that should be asked to address resilience issues and develop informed policies that impact resilience? *Where are the gaps, interdependencies and fragilities? And, how can these be addressed in a collaborative manner?
What will participants gain from attending this session? Participants will gain: A better understanding of the Internet Resilience Supply Chain – What it means, why it matters, and how different stakeholders are part of the landscape. Insights from Experts on Key Challenges & Risks – A deeper awareness of the gaps, fragilities, vulnerabilities and interdependencies affecting Internet resilience today. Multistakeholder Perspectives – How different stakeholders play a role in strengthening resilience—and how they can collaborate more effectively. Actionable Recommendations & Solutions – approaches they can take with them and consider when addressing Internet Resilience in their contexts Opportunities for Engagement & Collaboration – A chance to connect, exchange ideas, and explore ways to contribute to ongoing efforts in Internet resilience and learn more about what a range of organizations are working on in the IR landscape Participants will leave better equipped to engage in resilience-building efforts at national, regional and global levels
    Description:

The Internet resilience supply chain is in itself dependent on the Internet, how can the relevant stakeholders understand and untangle these interdependencies? This interactive roundtable discussion will unpack these issues and draw upon the findings of an expert-developed Report on Internet Resilience, which sets out nine key recommendations for action. Key discussion areas: Who are the key actors in the IR supply chain landscape? Industry, the technical community, civil society, governments and regulators all play distinct but interconnected roles. Where are the interdependencies? Identifying the gaps, fragilities, and risks that must be addressed. How do we move forward? Exploring practical solutions, collaborations, and next steps Format & Engagement: Expert Roundtable Moderated Discussion: A diverse group of experts will share insights and perspectives on critical IR issues Moderated Interactive Dialogue: A dynamic and engaging moderation style will foster real-time interaction between speakers/commentators and in-person and online participants Multi-Stakeholder Participation: this Workshop will be of value to policymakers, private sector, civil society, the technical community, and regulators. We plan to promote the Workshop ahead of the IGF to ensure broad and inclusive participation. Action-Oriented Takeaways: The session will highlight pathways for collaboration and tangible next steps for strengthening Internet resilience discussions at national, regional and global levels. This workshop is designed to bring together key stakeholders, raise awareness, inform, spark meaningful dialogue, and drive collective action towards a more resilient Internet.
    Expected Outcomes
This Workshop will contribute to Internet Resilience (IR) discussions at national, regional and global levels and provide concrete information to inform policy development and decision-making. The Workshop's substantive discussions will also feed into the work of the Marconi Society Internet Resilience Technology Institute (IRTI), a session on IR planned by the IRTI in November 2025 which will have a concrete outcomes document, and future IRTI reports/educational and awareness raising materials.
Hybrid Format: *We will have a point person monitoring the online questions and engaging online participants in the discussion. The moderator(s) will regularly turn to the online participants to ensure they are not left out of the discussion *We will ensure that the moderator allocates regular time for the online attendees, and is aware of any activity in the chat if that is available *We may use additional tools to gather input from the participants, to be confirmed
