    Description:

Effective Internet governance requires collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups, each playing a crucial role in shaping national and regional digital policies. National and Regional Internet Governance Forums (NRIs) provide inclusive platforms for governments, businesses, civil society, and the technical community to discuss policy challenges and strategies for the digital future. At the same time, Network Operator Groups (NOGs) foster technical capacity building, knowledge sharing, and best practices to ensure a stable, scalable, and secure Internet. This session will explore how NRIs and NOGs complement each other, aligning policy discussions with technical expertise to create sustainable digital ecosystems. A key focus will be on leveraging the IGF’s National, Regional, and Youth Initiatives (NRIs) to collect insights and monitor progress on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring governance frameworks actively support global development. Through best practices and case studies, speakers will highlight how NRIs and NOGs can collaborate more effectively, bridging the gap between policy and implementation while strengthening multistakeholder cooperation for an open, resilient, and inclusive Internet. Also the importance of permanent multistakeholder bodies will be discused to advise public policy bodies on legislative and regulatory procedures.
