Format
Roundtable
Duration (minutes): 60
Format description: 1.Roundtable layout can create an equal and open atmosphere for discussion, allowing all parties included to participate equally and avoiding a sense of hierarchy or dominance caused by seating arrangements. 2.Encourage Interaction:Roundtable layout facilitates direct communication and interaction among participants, encouraging active participation in discussions, sharing of viewpoints and experiences, and promoting cooperation and consensus formation. 3.Enhance Participation: This layout can increase the participation and motivation of participants, giving everyone the opportunity to speak and avoiding certain participants feeling neglected due to their seating positions. 4.A 60 minute meeting can ensure efficient discussion and avoid lengthy or off topic discussions due to excessive time. Within a limited time, participants are able to concentrate and focus on key issues. 5. Stay focused: Studies have shown that people have relatively high levels of attention and focus within 60 minutes, which allows them to participate more effectively in discussions and communication.

Policy Question(s)
1. Explore how to develop and implement an international legal framework that respects the digital sovereignty of all countries, aiming to promote the global inclusivity of artificial intelligence technology.
2.How to ensure data security and privacy protection, especially cross-border data flow and the use of data by vulnerable groups, while promoting the popularization of intelligence technology.
3.Intelligent technology may have ethical and social impacts on vulnerable groups in the process of universal access, such as algorithmic bias, data privacy protection,, etc. How to ensure that the development of intelligent technology can truly benefit these groups, rather than exacerbating social inequality?
What will participants gain from attending this session? 1.Understand the latest technological developments of AI, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, etc., and how these technologies are applied in different industries and regions.
2.Investigate global challenges in inclusive AI: data privacy, algorithmic bias, accessibility gaps. Identify collaborative solutions and stakeholder roles for equitable tech adoption.
3.Clarify how artificial intelligence technology supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas such as education, health, poverty reduction, and environmental protection. Understand the ethical and social impacts of AI technology, how to balance technological innovation and social responsibility in the inclusive use of artificial intelligence.
4. Learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of intelligent technology projects in terms of inclusiveness, including indicator systems, evaluation methods, and tools. Understand how to develop and implement policies that support the inclusive use of artificial intelligence. Obtain information on how to establish and participate in inclusive cooperation networks for intelligent technologies.
Description:
Population aging is global issue, digital technology for aging has been indispensable for improving glogal social progress. How to eliminate the digital gap faced by the elderly has been topic of concern for the international community in the era of the Internet of Everthing represented by Intelligent Connected Technology. Exploring the protection of various groups can fit with the global digital contract goal. 1.Deeper Deconstruction of the Impact of Digital Technology Empirical analysis of AI algorithm discrimination. Intelligent speech recognition products have a poor recognition effect on the dialects of some elderly. Internet of Things device interaction violence. The failure of operating intelligent home appliances makes the elderly feel out of touch with The Times. A new form of data colonialism. The elderly group has become the “silent majority” exploited by algorithms, and companies maliciously induce elderly people to consume and illegally obtain elderly information frequently. 2.Best Practices in Age-Friendly Industrial Innovation The pace and process of aging differ from country to country, the focus of attention, measures taken are different when facing the difficulties of digital technology for the elderly. Technical experts and industry representatives are invited to introduce the current status and product supply of the digital technology aging industry to jointly explore the promotion of the application of information technology for elderly groups. 3.Advanced International Governance Experiences Introduce the digital technology aging standards, policies, and evaluation plans of developed countries, representative countries of aging like Japan, share advanced governance experience of China. 4.The Protection of Digital Rights and Interests of the Elderly. Explore the participation of the silver surfer in algorithm audit activities, launch the “Silver Age Digital Classroom”, safeguard the elderly’s right to know and participate, enhance their awareness and ability to detect fraud, smooth the corresponding channels for the elderly to appeal to them.

Expected Outcomes
1.We expect to promote in-depth dialogues among participants from different regions and backgrounds, share their experiences and challenges in the area of smart technology and digital inclusion.
2.Forming consensus and action initiatives: We hope to form a consensus through discussion on how to promote digital inclusion and sustainable development through intelligent technology, and propose specific action initiatives to provide reference and guidance for policymakers, businesses, social organizations, and academia.
3.Establishing a collaborative network: we aim to establish a global collaborative network that fosters long-term cooperation among various stakeholders, jointly advancing the goal of inclusive and sustainable development through intelligent technology.
4.Follow up activity plan: Organize a series of follow-up activities, including online seminars, policy proposal documents, etc. Launch a global initiative for inclusive cooperation in intelligent technology, inviting multiple stakeholders to participate together, in order to continue promoting discussions and practices on inclusive intelligent technology.
Hybrid Format: 1.The organizer will ensure that at least 3 speakers will attend offline. The organizer will fully recommend guests to attend offline and interact on-site. Multiple offline venues will be considered in some areas to allow everyone to participate together.
2. This workshop will consider breaking the traditional speake mode, allowing representatives from various countries and regions to share their views first, which will help better promote communication. Strictly control the speaking time to ensure the participation of each representative and the progress of the workshop.
3. For guests and viewers who are connected online, the IGF official recommended Zoom conference room will be used to facilitate better participation of online viewers in the seminar and achieve communication and interaction with the venue. At the same time, they can also ask questions to the speakers at any time.
