    How are national strategies and policies applied in cyberspace in the context of digitization and digital sovereignty? What are the main requirements needed to ensure successful implementation of the national digitization strategy?
    What will participants gain from attending this session? Digitization processes and strategies in Norway. How resilience the society is in the face of increased cyber threats and digital uncertainty? The main requirements for building a trustworthy digital services and infrastructure. the role of different actors in the society to increase resilience and security in crisis and war. The foundations needed for establishing national digital sovereignty.
    Description:

    Norway is one of the most digitized countries in the world. Digital transformation has been placed top of of political agendas in the country, and the Norwegian Digitization Agency has been established in 2020. It has been a government tool for digitization of the public sector. It defines strategies, facilitates the development of digital services and infrastructure, and encourages collaborations across sectors to achieve its goals. The last digitization strategy focuses on trust and preparedness and sets the bar high for the public sector to achieve high level of security and trust. In this session we will present the digitization strategy and discuss the main challenges that face its implementation and the premises that are needed for its success. Further, we will debate the need for such policies and strategies in order to set the foundations for digital sovereignty. We will also discuss the challenges and threats related to national digital sovereignty in light of the new global development and the threat to globalization.
    Expected Outcomes
    The main outcome is follow-up events to further discuss and develop action points resulted from the session.
    Hybrid Format: Interactions will be facilitated Zoom sessions and on-site group discussions. In order to ensure best possible experience, there will be one moderator responsible for the online part and one will be active physically. The final panel will be available for both online and on-site participants.
