    Innovation plays a crucial role in shaping the digital landscape, but its long-term impact depends on sustainability and responsibility. This workshop will explore how emerging and cutting-edge technologies, digital governance, and industry practices can foster sustainable and responsible innovation while balancing economic growth, environmental impact, and societal well-being. Key discussion points will include: ⮚ Ethical Technology Development: Examining responsible AI, data privacy, and human rights-centered design to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability. ⮚ Green Technology & Digital Sustainability: Exploring strategies for reducing the carbon footprint of digital infrastructure, promoting energy-efficient computing, and fostering circular economy principles in hardware’s mainly for chip war and semiconductor assembly industry and software production. ⮚ Inclusive & Equitable Innovation: Addressing the digital divide by ensuring accessibility, affordability, and inclusivity in technological advancements for marginalized communities. ⮚ Regulatory & Policy Frameworks: Analyzing international best practices, governance mechanisms, and public-private collaborations that encourage responsible innovation while preventing exploitative or harmful technology use. This workshop will bring together experts from academia, industry, civil society, and government to share best practices, case studies, and innovative approaches to sustainable digital transformation. Participants will gain insights into concrete initiatives that successfully integrate responsible innovation principles while fostering long-term resilience in the digital ecosystem. The workshop will draw in particular on India's experience in digital transformation, and will follow on from the work carried out without the G20 framework and at the International Telecommunication Union, whose last World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly was held in New Delhi. Through an interactive and engaging format, including expert presentations, panel discussions, and audience participation, this workshop aims to generate actionable recommendations for policymakers, technologists, and global stakeholders. The discussion will encourage cross-sector collaboration, ensuring that digital progress aligns with sustainability goals and ethical standards.
    Expected Outcomes
    The results of the discussion will be published as a policy paper. It will then be included in the work of the partner organizations. Another expected outcome is the creation and strengthening of cooperation between participants representing the diversity of stakeholders to promote equitable digital transformation.
