This workshop will analyze the sociocultural implications of AI on news consumption while advocating for Afrocentric AI policies to mitigate bias and misrepresentation. By engaging civic organizations and policymakers, the session will foster dialogue on responsible AI adoption that aligns with Africa’s media ecosystem.
