Ole
Ole-Martin Martinsen is Policy Director for Digitalization and Emerging Technologies at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he leads efforts in digital diplomacy and international technology cooperation. In this role, he works extensively with international digital policy development, particularly focusing on AI governance, digital public goods, and multi-stakeholder engagement.

Prior to his current position, he served as Policy Director for Digital Transformation at the Ministry, where he played a key role in developing Norway's digital development policy and modernizing diplomatic operations. He has also held the position of Policy Director for Data and Analytics, driving data-driven innovation in foreign policy work.

Before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Martinsen led several public sector digital transformation initiatives. His extensive experience in public sector digitalization spans over two decades, during which he has consistently worked to bridge the gap between technology policy and practical implementation.

His current work focuses on strengthening international digital cooperation, developing frameworks for responsible AI governance, and advancing multi-stakeholder approaches to digital challenges. He has been actively involved in UN-led digital cooperation initiatives and contributes to various international forums on digital governance and technology policy.
