Juuso Moisander is the desk officer for Information Society and ICT at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, department for External Economic Relations. He has worked with the follow-up phase of World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) since 2008. He is a member of ICANN’s Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC), ECOSOC’s Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) and represents Finland in Internet Governance in several fora such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the European Union (EU). Juuso has participated in all IGFs since 2008. Committed to advance the multistakeholder governance model in Finland, he chairs the national WSIS coordination group and is the chair of their national IGF, the Finnish Internet Forum. He is currently also an alternate member of the board of ISOC Finland. With background in trade policy in EU, WTO and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) contexts, he has several years’ experience of market access issues related to trade with ICT goods and services. Juuso holds an M.Sc. in Public Administration and Economics from the University of Umea, Sweden. His mother tongue is Finnish, in addition he speaks Swedish and English fluently and has a working knowledge of Spanish and German.
