Dr. Ishita Barua (f. 1988) is a Norwegian medical doctor, gastroenterologist, and PhD in artificial intelligence in medicine from the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital. She combines clinical expertise in colorectal cancer screening with advanced AI research. A Fulbright scholar, Barua conducted research at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center before leading AI in healthcare at Deloitte. Today, she serves as Chief Medical Officer and co‑founder of healthtech startup Livv Health, sits on the board of WiLD Norway, and is a deputy member of Norway’s Biotechnology Advisory Board.
