Haojun, JI

As a seasoned diplomat, Mr. JI Haojun has accumulated substantial experience and knowledge in the field of international security and development. In 2004, he participated in the first UN Governmental Group of Experts on Information Security in the capacity of adviser to the Chinese expert. Over the years, he has been actively involved in cyber security and Internet governance affairs under the UN framework, particularly the UN GGE on information Security, UNGA First Committee and ICRC etc. In this connection, he established extensive linkages with relevant policy makers, industrial sectors, civil society and academia. Since 2014, he has been the leading Chinese expert participating in the meetings of the Working Group on Lethal Autonomous Weapon Systems(LAWS)under the framework of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons.
