Jianne Soriano is a Hong Kong-born Filipino studying International Journalism at Hong Kong Baptist University. She began her IGF journey when she joined the iCity NetY Ambassador's Program in 2013, when she was 17 years old. As the team captain of her group, they produced a research paper on the relationship of cyberbullying and suicides. The team was chosen to attend the IGF 2013 in Bali. In 2015, Jianne organized the Youth Internet Governance (YIGF) for Asia Pacific, a role that she would continue for 3 consecutive years, 2016 in Taipei and 2017 in Bangkok. At the same time, she participated in the Asia Pacific Regional IGF (APrIGF) and was a speaker for workshops that involve youth issues. She also gave the remarks for the APrIGF's Opening Ceremony as the YIGF organizer. She became the first youth and youngest member of the APrIGF Multi-stakeholder Steering Group (MSG).

In 2016, she joined the Youth@IGF fellowship program organized by the Internet Society. She was one of the 60 youths selected to attend the IGF in Guadalajara and was the only one from Hong Kong. Locally, she helped organize the first Hong Kong Youth Internet Governance Forum and was one of the facilitators. She is also part of NetMission.Asia as an ambassador for the 6.0 batch. She also joined ICANN57 in Hyderabad and facilitated the mock ICANN meeting. In 2017, she was invited to the Vietnam Internet Forum as a speaker for the Next Generation session.

She attended the IGF 2017 in Geneva and facilitated the workshop "How Does Social Media Shape Our Minds?" and also gave the remarks as the youth representation at the forum's closing ceremony. Besides Jianne's involvement in Internet Governance and youth empowerment, she is also an advocate for ethnic minority rights in Hong Kong, directing and producing her own documentary, Own Voices: Breaking Stereotypes. Her contributions in these two areas earned her a place in The Loop's 30 Under 30 list, a list that highlights young professionals in Hong Kong who achieved great success in their respective fields.
