IGF 2024

The 19th IGF will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 15 to 19 December 2024 in Riyadh at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center (KAICC). The meeting is held under the overarching theme of Building our Multistakeholder Digital Future. The programme is shaped according to the four main themes: Harnessing innovation and balancing risks in the digital space; Enhancing the digital contribution to peace, development and sustainability; Advancing human rights and inclusion in the digital age; and Improving digital governance for the Internet We Want

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) serves to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals, in discussions on public policy issues relating to the Internet. While there is no negotiated outcome, the IGF informs and inspires those with policy-making power in both the public and private sectors. At their annual meeting delegates discuss, exchange information and share good practices with each other. The IGF facilitates a common understanding of how to maximize Internet opportunities and address risks and challenges that arise.
