IGF 2021 Call for Dynamic Coalition (DC) Sessions

The IGF Secretariat is now accepting requests from Dynamic Coalitions (DCs) for individual meeting slots at the 16th IGF, until a deadline of 26 May 2021, 23:59 UTC.

All recognized IGF DCs are invited to submit their requests through the DC sessions application e-form.

DCs have traditionally used individual sessions to discuss related to their DC topic, and any work done by their coalition which they wish to highlight. In addition, this year DCs have the option to link their session to the IGF 2021 focus areas, selectable in the submission form:

IGF 2021 Main focus areas

IGF 2021 Emerging and cross-cutting issue areas

The sessions themselves can be formatted as DCs see fit. The standard duration for a DC session has not yet been determined, as programme needs are still being assessed. In line with the eligibility requirements posted on the IGF's website, a DC can be considered for an individual meeting slots if the following two conditions are met: (a) the DC has provided the Secretariat with a yearly report outlining its activity in 2020; and (b) if the DC held a session at a previous IGF, it submitted a session report, as required. DCs new in 2021 must still submit a 'light' activities report to outline any discussions or work that has taken place since their formation. The links to yearly or session reports should be provided in the appropriate field in the form.
