    Description

The session seeks to highlight some tools of impact- RIPOTI Digital Rights Violations Reporting Platform, and Ayeta Digital Rights Toolkit developed by Paradigm Initiative. The objective of the session is to interest participants to become part of the RIPOTI and Ayeta communities and In the session, we will present some of the tools that we have developed as solutions to ending the ever increasing digital rights violations and enhancing digital security practices. The tools are; RIPOTI Digital Rights Violations Reporting Platform and Ayeta Digital Rights Toolkit and DigitalSafeTea a game developed based on Ayeta toolkit. The objective of the session is to empower participants with these tools that can contribute to combatting online violence and have them join a collaborative approach to combating the incessant and ever increasing digital rights violations and enhance digital security practices and awareness by netizens, especially women, girls and other at risk internet users. Lastly, the session hopes to enlist the support of the IGF community to collaborate on providing leadership over how the platforms evolve and become of use to Africa's internet community and beyond. While PIN developed these platforms, we would like for them to be co-owned and managed together with partners who will bring their expertise to address the reported cases, particularly on RIPOTI which was designed to be a collaborative approach to ending digital rights violations.

Given that the event is Hybrid, we expect that the event would also be streamed live on a virtual conferencing platform like Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Team. As such, there will be screen sharing. We appeal that the two presenters are onsite for a coordinated presentation.
